In Memory of Kenny Down

Everyone at Taylor Made Retreat misses Kenny Down, his presence, and his support of our mission.

Many of our graduates credit their recovery to Kenny’s influence, and his impact will be felt for years and years to come.
A few years ago, Kenny visited our regular Big Book study and shared an inspiring message on the parable of the Prodigal Son. His words were so impactful that now, in memory of that weekend, this print of Rembrandt’s “Return of the Prodigal Son” hangs in our main room. The image reminds all who enter of the the possibility of redemption and a fresh start, no matter how far one has strayed.

In lieu of flowers, Kenny’s family has generously suggested that donations could be made in his memory to support Taylor Made Retreat. We are sincerely grateful for this support and express our love and condolences to his entire family.
